Digipak-style packaging is often used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums. They consist of a card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached yo the inside.

Front Covers:

Digipaks tend to have an eye-catching photo in the front and this is in order to attract the artist's target audience. Another common feature of digipaks is to have the band or artist's name placed either at the bottom or top of the album's cover, usually at the top. The name of the album is normally placed at the bottom and in a bigger size than the name of the artist or band.

The colour schemes usually depend on what the album is about and the type of genre. These are the typical colours for the following genres; Rock colours will be monochrome, Pop colours will be bright and vibrant and Reggae colours will usually be a mixture of different colours.

Back Covers:

Back covers are used to display the name of the songs, usually with the number of the songs in order to indicate the people buying this which is the order of the songs. Back covers are used to place additional information such as bar codes, production company name or credits. Back covers are not as attractive as the front covers.
