After watching many video clips from all kinds of genres, I planned my whole music video by collecting ideas from all of them and getting inspiration to think about my own ideas.
First of all, the introduction of the video, the setting of the room with clothes, alcohol and shoes all over the place was something my song's lyric video (Sober by Demi Lovato) had. I thought it would be a perfect introduction to it and that it would give more suspense. In addition, the scenes where the singer appears singing in a room on her own was an idea of my own. As the song is very personal, I wanted to have these scenes in order to show how intimate this song is. Just her, on her own and feeling every word she said looking straight to the camera to make the people watching this video feel her anger and frustration and to understand the battle she is fighting.
Moreover, the scene in the bedroom was another idea I had. She wakes up and it seems like she doesn't even know where she is. This was to represent her confusion, after a night of drinking and partying she wakes up completely lost and horrified because she knows she has done something wrong, she let herself down. By the way she immediately wakes up and looks around we can see the panic in her eyes and how much she regrets what happened.
The next scene shows her going to the bathroom and looking at herself in the mirror with extreme disappointment, she looks like she doesn't even know herself and this goes exactly with the lyrics which say, "call me when its over and myself has reappeared."
The chorus is again filmed when she is singing with the black background. After the chorus, comes a scene where she starts to have flashbacks to when she was happy, flashbacks of certain moments of her life which were extremely especial for her. In this part of the lyrics she is saying sorry to the people who stuck by her side in her worse times and she is apologising for doing this again.
"I'm sorry to my future love, for the man that left my bed" will be filmed again in the same setting as the first scene, in the bedroom, where she will appear with her boyfriend and then he will suddenly fade away.
The next chorus will be filmed while she is walking down a park and just singing, her body language will express how exhausted she is and some close ups of her face will determine this mood. She finally gets it all out and sings with relief but still with exhaustion and anger, it is a mix of all of these emotions which I will show by again, focusing on her facial expression and body language.
