Locations

First location:

This is the place where I filmed the lip-sync scene with the black background. I chose this place because it has the facilities I needed such as the black screen and then I used my own lights and tripod. Due to the choice of genre, the music video did not require specific locations therefore this gave me a chance to explore and use many different settings. What was essential for me was the black screen as the lyrics talk about a very serious issue and she is expressing her inner turmoil.

Second location:

As I found out in my research about ballads codes and conventions, forests are a very typical setting which is used in this genre. This is why I decided to film in this forest. It was also to continue with the narrative and change from inside settings to one outside. What I also wanted to show with this was that the scenes when she drinks are all inside locations which convey the idea that she is trapped in something that she can't escape, so when she is at the forest it gives the sense of relief.

Third location:

This location was quite basic, it was a simple room and bathroom so we could film a few scenes such as the one she wakes up and panics, the one she is drinking and the one referring to her future love.
