The first shot of all the music video consists of an extreme shot of a sunset, this type of shot is used to show the subject from a distance, or the area in which the scene is taking place. This is particularly useful for establishing a scene in terms of time and place, as well as a character’s physical or emotional relationship to the environment and elements within it. The sunset symbolises that the night has come and the partying and drinking starts.

A high angle shot is another one I used right at the begging of the video, she smiles and looks right at the camera in order to give the sense that somebody she knows filmed that and its a good memory she has.

Extreme close ups emphasise a small area or detail of the subject, such as the eye(s) or mouth. This shot was used right at the end of the first part when the sound stops and you can only hear a deep breath. She opens her eyes immediately and following the deep breath so it matches the sound and has a smooth opening to the rest of the video. This shot was also intended to give a sense that she is back to reality after having remembered all the good moments throughout her life.

Medium close-up falls between a medium shot and a close-up, generally framing the subject from chest or shoulder up. This shot composition was done in order to only make her face stand out. To achieve this, I did some research and found out that the more far away she was from the black screen, the darker her clothes would appear so this is what I did in order to make her shirt camouflage with the background as much as possible. For this shot I used a tripod and set it up to the perfect height to get this shot.

Mirror shots are a bit more challenging because you have to set everything up so the camera doesn't appear anywhere in the mirror. For this shot, I set my tripod to her height and stood close to her shoulder but right at the point where the camera wasn't seen.

Tracking shot is a shot that follows a subject be it from behind or alongside or in front of the subject. Not as clumsy or random as a panning shot, an elegant shot for a more civilised age. This was used to track how she fell down to the floor without using a tripod.

The high angle was by far the most difficult one to set up, this shot is shot looking down on a character or subject often isolating them in the frame. I had to set up my tripod to its highest height in order to get a proper high angle and then put the camera on the tripod and adjust it in a way it was looking down.

A handheld shot consists of a shot in which the camera operator holds the camera during motion to create a jerky, immediate feel. I used this technique in the whole park scene because the dolly would not work unless it was a smooth floor but in the end it turned out great because at the same time she moved around the park, I moved the camera too and it turned out to look very smooth.

Low angle subject is filmed from below eye level. This can have the effect of making the subject look powerful, heroic, or dangerous. In this case, I wanted to make it look powerful for it to have a powerful end. She was looking straight at the camera to make it even more intense and to transmit the message straight to the audience and saying sorry to everyone and especially to herself.
